SUMMER STORAGE Welcome! We provide summer storage for college students who don't want the hassle of moving their stuff home over the summer. ABOUT US
Summer storage is provided by Team Logistics,
LLC. We are
based in Ashland, VA, a suburb of Richmond. In addition to providing
summer storage for
college students, we provide warehousing, inventory management, moving and delivery installation services for
commercial and residential customers in the Eastern U.S. We are unique
because unlike most storage facilities, we pick up and then re-deliver your
items. Best of all, there is no charge for pick up and re-delivery,
and boxes and tape are free, too! Pick ups are made during finals week, and
re-deliveries are made during the week prior to classes beginning in the fall
(click here for dates). As one of the pioneers in full-service summer storage, our experience dates back to 1986, when our current summer storage director first offered service to students at Vanderbilt University. The positive response from Vanderbilt students led to the creation of Student StoreHouse, Inc. in 1991, which served students throughout Virginia and North Carolina. In 2001, Team Logistics began to offer summer storage, subsequently hired our director (founder of Student StoreHouse), and set the goal of making Team Logistics "The College Student's Top Choice for Summer Storage". As our feedback shows, we have achieved that goal by offering superior service and low prices as well as listening to and implementing customer suggestions. Even though we have received a good deal of positive feedback, we know we must work harder each year to maintain our success. At the end of each storage season, we solicit feedback from all our customers, implement suggested changes when appropriate, and post feedback (both positive and critical) on our web site. PRICES Our summer storage prices start at $99 for the entire summer. Prices are based on how much you have to store, so you do not have to worry about buying a certain size space and having leftover space or not enough space. Our prices are generally equal to or lower than most self-service storage places, even with the pick-up and delivery service that we provide. We guarantee that our prices are lower than any other company that offers similar service to us. In fact, we are usually a lot less expensive! If you live in a dorm, the price for the whole summer usually ranges from $99 - $350, depending on how many items you have and the type of service you select (see below). If you live in an apartment and have furniture to store, the price will vary depending on how much furniture you have to store. Apartments with furniture are more expensive than dorm rooms without furniture. For an exact quote, click here and you'll be able to list how many boxes, frig, chairs, desks, shelves, tables, etc. you have to store. Boxes are always the cheapest item to store, and we even provide the boxes to you for free! Therefore, always try to figure out how much of your stuff you can get into boxes for the lowest price. You can always change your list, and we'll update your quote for you. TYPE OF SERVICE
We offer two types of
service, curbside service and RoomService. With curbside service, we meet you at
our truck in front of your dorm or apartment. With RoomService, we come all the
way to your room to pick up and carry your items to our truck. The fee for
RoomService varies with how much you have to store, which we will include with
any quotes if you select this option. You can add or remove RoomService up to 2
days prior to your pick up date if you change your mind. OTHER SERVICES: EXTENDED STORAGE & MOVING In addition to summer storage, we can provide extended storage, typically for students who study abroad for a semester. Also, we provide moving services for students who are moving to another area. Please email or call us to receive additional information.
